Their vintage wines sell for $200 and beyond and have been known to age beautifully for decades.&nbsp;The Cuvelier brought their talents to Argentina&#8217;s Uco Valley in conjunction with Michel Rolland&#8217;s Clos de los Siete project, determined to prove they could create wines of similar quality. This absolutely delicious $60 bottle is available in the US at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.totalwine.com\">Total Wine.<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text alignwide\" style=\"grid-template-columns:22% auto\"><figure class=\"wp-block-media-text__media\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"241\" height=\"1000\" src=\"https:\/\/www.drinkingargentina.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/VistaFlores.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-847\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.drinkingargentina.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/VistaFlores.jpg 241w, https:\/\/www.drinkingargentina.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/VistaFlores-72x300.jpg 72w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 241px) 100vw, 241px\" \/><\/figure><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<p><strong>Catena&nbsp;Appellation&nbsp;Series&nbsp;&#8211;&nbsp;Vista&nbsp;Flores&nbsp;and&nbsp;Lunlunta<\/strong> &#8211; We hear that these $20 bottles were originally intended to be exclusive to restaurants, but somewhere along the way the plan changed and they&#8217;re now available in select retail stores. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.catenawines.com\">Bodega Catena Zapata<\/a> does a beautiful job in every price range &#8211; perhaps no one has invested more in science and research to understand the Argentine terroir. We&#8217;re particular fans of the Lunlunta version, if you can find it in your store.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text alignwide\" style=\"grid-template-columns:23% auto\"><figure class=\"wp-block-media-text__media\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"176\" height=\"692\" src=\"https:\/\/www.drinkingargentina.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/cheval.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-846\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.drinkingargentina.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/cheval.jpg 176w, https:\/\/www.drinkingargentina.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/cheval-76x300.jpg 76w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 176px) 100vw, 176px\" \/><\/figure><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<p><strong>Cheval\u00a0des\u00a0Andes<\/strong> &#8211; You won&#8217;t find a more worthy splurge than this $90 wine, a joint venture between Argentine wine giant <a href=\"https:\/\/www.terrazasdelosandes.com\/en\/\">Terrazas de los Andes<\/a> and France&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chateau-cheval-blanc.com\/en\">Ch\u00e2teau Cheval Blanc<\/a>. This is as serious as winemaking gets in South America, and spends 15 to 18 months in oak barrels. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chevaldesandes.com\">Cheval des Andes<\/a> has been getting added finesse in the last few years. If you prefer a big wine for steak, look for the 2010 and 2011 bottles and if you want something more balanced and elegant, look into the later vintages.
